ya i think the whole “everything levels up as you do” in oblivion was a bad idea as well. matter of fact i think bethesda noticed it was a bad idea as well cuz it wasnt like that in morrowind and other bethesda games and then they also didnt do it in fallout 3. so i think they jus wanted to try it out, saw it wasnt that great, and then stopped doin it.
